Beauty Tip #1:

Spritz hairspray on a toothbrush, then comb it
through flyaways to keep your hair in place.

Beauty Tip #2:

Scrunch a few drops of Shine Serum or Silk drops
on the ends to give your hair a nice shine without
the weight.

Beauty Tip #3:

To mend jagged cuticles, rub lip balm around your
nails. They're rich in moisturizers! Try something
with Shea Butter in it:)

Beauty Tip #4:

To prevent chips, brush a top coat in both directions
across the end of your nails, says Elsbeth, a
celebrity manicurist in Los Angeles. Self.com

Back from Vacation....

Well we had a fun weekend up in Salt Lake for my hubby's
class reunion:) It was a 3 day reunion with a dance on
Friday night, BBQ at the park on Saturday (which rained
like craazeee!) and a fireside on Sunday. We didn't stay
for the fireside on Sunday due to work early morning
Monday..so we drove back Sunday morning on Father's day.

So I'll be posting up pics. in a bit. As for now, I'm
getting back to my daily routine of searching for new

Beauty Tip Tuesday - June 16, 2009

Happy Tuesday everyone..Here are our beauty tips for today!
Let us know if you've tried these and how they've worked
for you! We love to read your comments!

Beauty Tip #1:

Homemade treatment to combat those under eye circles.
Mash up one potato in your food processor then place the
mashed up, raw potato mixture in cheesecloth.

Apply the cheesecloth to the area under your eye, making
sure not to get any of the potato juice in your eye. Leave
it on for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Then wipe off the residue from under your eye area! I wash
with my favorite Biore Cleanser afterwards..

Beauty Tip #2:

You can strengthen your skin by choosing moisturizers
with Vitamin A & Vitamin E..

Beauty Tip Tuesday!

Sorry to post this up so late..I've been busy running errands..cooking dinner and getting the kids off to bed..so here we go with a couple of tips to get you
started..

Beauty Tip #1:

Banana is a wonderful anti-wrinkle treatment.
Mash 1/4 of a banana until very creamy. Spread all over face and leave for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water followed by a splash of cold water.
Gently pat dry.


Beauty Tip #2:

Lavish the Vaseline on your hands, then slip on a pair of
cotton gloves before you hit the sack. Your hands will be
lusciously soft by morning:)

Beauty Tip #3:

Got oily or acne prone skin? Try this homemade facial
recipe at home..and let us know how it worked out for you!

1 medium size apple, grated fine
5 tbs. honey
Mix the grated apple and honey well. Smooth over skin and let sit for 10 minutes.
Rinse off with cool water.

Busy Saturday...

Today was a pretty busy day..my dh came back from Vegas
after going to his niece's HS graduation on Thursday.
Which was a pretty fun day and a half for the kids and
I. He left me a budget of $80 for shopping until he
came back today. I took the kids to McDonalds after we
dropped him off at the airport(big mistake that dropped
our budget to $68. Then picked up the ink cartridge for
our printer from the ink refill store that took off
another $11.00 from the budget and we hadn't hit the
store to go shopping yet. So Friday, I drop off my 5
year old at school then my my 4 year old is pointing
at the garage sale signs so I decide we're going to
hit up a couple of these garage sales and ended up spending
$28.99 there on a new condition Oster Bread Machine for
$20.00 and a couple of odds n ends for a total of $8.99..
I figure by now..whatever I have I left I need to head
over to the store and get what I need for the freezer.

Pantry is still full.so I loaded up on chicken thighs
and drumstics at .99c a lb. at Winco with 2 5 lb. bags
of red potatoes at $1.99 ea. for a total of $25.00

This afternoon I got bake crazy and ended up baking
too many things that I just wanted to try making.
The kids really liked the chocolate cupcakes..they
were supposed to be monkey cupcakes but we were
missing the nilla wafers..so we just went with what
was in the pantry..lol..

I got the Apple Coffee Cake Recipe from a fellow
blogger's video on you tube!

Coffee Cake below is not apple..this one is with crushed pineapple,
then sprinkled with brown sugar topping..[sorry about lighting on
this one]
