Homemade Scented Sugar Scrubs

I've recieved replies regarding creating your own aromatherapy products

at home for those of you who couldn't hit the mall to purchase Bath and

Body Works Aromatherapy line. 

So here's a recipe that you could whip up on your own with some 

basic kitchen staples. Kashi's recipe for this Scented Salt Scrub 

also makes a great gift for friends and relatives birthdays and holidays. 

I had cases of new canning jars that I hadn't used yet for making 

jams from my coupon deals and I thought this was a great recipe to

use those jars for. Try my recipe for the Sugar Scrub and let me know

Luscious Sugar Scrub Recipe

1 glass jar with lid (canning jar works)

1 cup of sugar (white or brown )

1/2 cup of coconut oil 

4 tsp. jojoba oil

4 tsp. almond oil

1 tsp. vanilla

1 tsp. Vitamin E

Honey Lemon Sugar Scrub 

1 glass jar with lid (canning jar works)

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup of olive oil or evoo(extra virgin olive oil)

1 tbsp. lemon juice or 1 tbsp of grated lemon zest. 

2 tbsp. Honey

1 tsp. Vitamin E

Mix the items in a bowl with spoon. spoon sugar scrub into glass jar. 

(You can also use table salt instead of sugar if you're short on that)

Glass jars work best as it doesn't absorb the scent of essential oils

which makes it last longer. 

When using: it is best to use it in the shower by rubbing in circles

working from your shoulders on down to your toes. Remember to 

prevent slips by rinsing the shower floor as it will be slippery.
